Hi  there,

Last week I celebrated with my mum (Pauline) who turned 70. Whilst constructing her cake (modelled on her two cats - not my best I'll admit) I had time to reflect.

Whether they realise it or not, my parents are influential. They shape my values, behaviours and work ethic and influence others. Dad (70) still works as a plumber.

Influence doesn't necessarily come with how popular you are and it certainly can't be faked (check out this guest blog about Amazon's mistakes).

I believe influence comes from passion and purpose.

Most organisations don't realise the potential influence they hold within their workplace.  Discovering, enabling and activating employees as influencers can be beneficial to both employee and brand. It's also cost effective way to manage risk and create relevant content!

I'm proud to have worked with Onalytica to explore this concept further. The result?  A white paper about Employee Advocacy 2.0:  Leveraging Influence To Drive A Connected Organisation. An enormous achievement with input from many experts I hugely admire.  Other highlights this month:

We'll be celebrating with CA Technologies on November 23rd as a Finalist at the International B2B Marketing Awards - will update you next time!

Until next time,
